To meet rising demand for locally produced eggs and reduce dependence on imports, Maamani Agridev Ltd has completed a major expansion of its layer poultry farm in the Northern Region. The facility now houses an additional 40,000 birds, bringing total capacity to over 100,000 layers.
The upgrade includes modern battery cage systems, climate-controlled housing, and automated feeding and watering systems—designed to optimize bird health, productivity, and biosecurity standards. This investment significantly increases the company’s output of table eggs, which are distributed to retail outlets, schools, hospitals, and institutional buyers across Ghana.
With this expansion, Maamani reinforces its position as a leading force in Ghana’s poultry industry, supporting national food security while creating jobs and promoting innovation in animal agriculture.
